El Cid
El Cid is a jet black 15 hand Rocky Mountain stallion, son of Sebastian's Mountain King, that truly exemplifies what a Rocky should be. Totally natural extremely smooth gait, sweet and loving temperament and awesome conformation. He had proven himself over and over again in the show ring to be a multiple trail pleasure champion. We will always be grateful to Al Prestrude for allowing us to purchase this fabulous stallion.

El Cid has NO Red Gene and therefore can NOT produce a sorrel or chestnut baby regardless of the color of the mare. Because El Cid is out of two chocolate parents, he will throw chocolate over 90% of the time when bred to a chocolate mare with no chance of ASD!!!

Sebastian's Mountain King
Sebastian's Mountain King has been a champion from the time he was a weanling! He was the 1989 Kentucky State Weanling Champion, and he has continued to win the blues throughout his career with King earning 1st place in 2001 as a Master Stallion in conformation and the 2004 International 10 and older class! Although we have retired Mountain King from the show ring, he remains a magestic stallion of old time breeding which is second to none in beauty, temperament and gait.
Shaneland Stables is fully equipped with all the modern equipment to collect semen any day of the week. This is a huge advantage for our customers who have unpredicatable cycles with their mares. We believe our job is to get your mare in foal and not waste alot of time and money! We use FedEx and follow their schedule. Always make sure your area has Saturday shipments available.
King's semen is some of the best shipped semen in the world. We have had many vets from all over the US, comment on the quality of his semen. This is very important to mare owners that want the job done correctly the first time! We have almost a perfect record of all mares taking on the first try!!! Of course we work with your vet in timing the shipment and giving you the best opportunity for success. If you have a difficult mare to breed, let us know and we will pool our experts opinions and give you some viable options and procedures to use to give you the best opportunity for a pregnancy.
